Composite Fibre Freediving Fins

Serat Komposit

Like all our blades, our composite freediving and spearfishing fins are made by hand in our Tweed Heads workshop. Composite is the blade most divers start with.

Composite has a denser fibre volume than our carbon blades, so it weighs a bit more. The flex is sharp, and a little less responsive than carbon. Durability is where composite stands out. We point people to it when they are rock hopping, just starting out in the sport or changing over from plastic fins. Climbing in and out over rocks is hard on a blade, and so are the first few seasons of learning where your fins are.

Our Clear design shows the composite fibre on its own, and our artist designs come in composite as well as carbon. Choose soft flex if you weigh under 85kg or medium flex if you weigh over 85kg. Every blade has our 30 degree heel and a rounded tip, and carries a 3 year warranty. Single blades are here too, if you need to replace one.

When you want more from your fins later, carbon is the next step, lighter and more responsive with a faster memory. If you are moving up from plastic fins, our post on what changes when you leave plastic fins covers blades, foot pockets and flex.
